What is meant by Guaranteed TAT?

The TAT calculation would begin one day after the date the mobile is handed over by customer to Acko or any of its representatives or partners.


What is the city wise TAT? What happens if my repair is not completed within the stipulated TAT?

The TAT would vary from city to city as indicated below:

Tier A Cities (Mumbai, Thane, Delhi NCR, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad) 7 Days

Tier B Cities (Ahmedabad, Pune, Kolkata, Jaipur) 10 Days

Rest of the cities  15 Days

What is the difference between manufacturer’s warranty and Accidental & Liquid Damage Protection?

  • Manufacturer’s warranty only covers mechanical and electrical defects to the mobile for one year from the date of purchase of mobile.
  • Acko All Round Protection Plan includes repairs to mobile in the event of any accidental and liquid damages to the mobile for one year from purchase.

What is not Covered under the Acko All Round Protection Plan?

Mentioned below are an indicative list of exclusions under the Plan:

  1. Theft or loss of mobile is not covered
  2. Any damages to the accessories
  3. Cosmetic Damages like scratches, dents or wear and tear are not covered under the plan
  4. Any damages reported within 10 days from the delivery of the mobile for which the Plan has been purchased
  5. Any damages reported after 7 days from the date of damage
  6. Plan purchased without purchase of Mobile device
  7. Mobiles that have undergone unauthorized repair are not covered
  8. Damage due to gross negligence are not covered
  9. Damage to accessories including SIM card, memory card which are not part of the original mobile are not covered

When does my Plan get active? When do the Plan benefits start?

Under the Acko All Round Protection Plan – you do not need to activate the Plan separately. Your new mobile is automatically covered from the date of delivery of the mobile or 7 days from the date of purchase of the Mobile in case the date of delivery is not available, provided the Plan has been purchased along with the mobile on Amazon.


I have purchased my device from somewhere else other than Amazon. Can I still purchase?

No, Plan is not available for sale on stand-alone on Amazon


The new mobile I purchased on Amazon had some defect and I have returned it to Amazon. I have received a new mobile now as replacement. Do I need to purchase the Plan again or do I get a refund?

The Acko All Protection Plan is a hassle-free way to manage any issues with your phone. So if you have returned the mobile purchased on Amazon for any reason, you may share the new IMEI with Acko. They will confirm the information with Amazon and your Plan benefits shall be transferred to your replaced Mobile


The mobile I received from Amazon was broken at the time of delivery. Can I get the same replaced under the Acko All Round Protection Plan?

No, in case the mobile you received from Amazon already had a defect then you must raise the same with Amazon immediately. Defect or damage raised within 10 (ten) days of delivery of the mobile are not covered under the Plan.


How many repairs are allowed during the Plan term?

Only one repair can be raised within the Plan term. The maximum amount covered is the depreciated value of the device at the time of claim.


What are the documents required for raising a repair request?

Acko All Round Protection Plan is a completely online and paperless process. Hence, no documents are required for raising a repair request on Acko.tech. However, Acko may ask for additional documents on case to case basis if required.


Why is there a depreciation on my Mobile invoice price? When is the depreciated value of the mobile payable to me?

Every electronic device undergoes wear and tear during the course of being used by customer. Due to this, the original invoice price of the mobile gets reduced as the mobile becomes older. In order to arrive at the fair market value of the mobile, Acko uses the following depreciation grid:

Between 91 days to 180 days from date of delivery of Mobile 30% of Invoice Value

Between 271 days to 365 days from date of delivery of Mobile 50% of Invoice Value


What is Beyond Economic Repair (BER) or Total Loss?

Beyond Economic Repair is when the estimated cost for repair of the device exceeds the depreciated value (or fair market value) of the mobile covered under the Plan. In such cases, it is prudent to refund the Fair Market Value (or depreciated Value) to customer instead of doing the repair. This helps the customer to get a better value for the damaged device instead of repairing the same. Kindly note for any settlement under BER, the damaged handset and Accessories received in the box with the handset will be retained by Acko.


What do I have to pay at the time of Repair?

Acko All Round Protection Plan is a one-time charge product. Hence, at the time of any kind of repair, you do not have to pay anything again.


How do I get a refund if I want to cancel the plan?

Cancellation and Refund is allowed as per Amazon terms and conditions for refund/cancellations. The customer has to contact Amazon Customer Support to raise a return request. Refund is processed by Amazon. Currently, cancellation of Plan is allowed within period defined under Amazon Return policy. Thereafter, there is no cancellation is allowed and therefore, there is no refund under the Plan. However, if customer has raised a repair or availed of any benefit under any of the Plan benefits any time during the term of the plan, no refund will be available even during the free return period. There is no refund under the plan after the expiry of the return period


Who do I get in touch with in case I have not received the refund under the Plan?

Please contact Amazon for the same, as all refunds are processed by Amazon for plans purchased on Amazon.


What is the Process for raising a repair request under the Plan?

You only have to visit Acko.tech and raise a repair request there. There are a few questions that you need to answer & enter the address from where the damaged mobile has to be picked up for repair


I had bought the mobile and the Acko Plan for a relative (spouse, family etc.) or a friend? Will the Acko Plan benefits be available to them too?

Yes, the Acko Plan covers the IMEI of the Mobile for which the Acko Plan has been purchased. Hence, even if you have purchased the Plan for someone else, the benefits under the Plan shall be available for Mobile for which the Plan has been purchased.
